P!nk knows how is the pain of living when you feel nobody loves you, and she continues to say that "everybody (...) is trying to make the hurt go away". She says the feeling is not true; some people really love you, and they try to make you the most comfortable they can to avoid your suicide; they care for you. She also states that the person is unaware to the pleasure of living and gave up long ago. P!nk says she's terrified of the dark unless the person comes with her, meaning she's afraid of the future but could handle it with the help of the loved ones. She sings "I wrote the book on running, but that chapter of my life will soon be done", saying she also tried running or escaping from life, but she got more mature. She is trying to avoid one's suicide.
